The appointments you lose while you are working

A customer who calls while your hands are busy rarely calls back: they call the next place. What an online booking calendar on your own site fixes, what it costs, and why the booking must belong to you.

The problem is not your phone, it is the timing

A hairdresser has their hands in someone’s hair. A plasterer is on scaffolding. A clinic is mid-consultation. The phone rings, nobody can pick up — and the person on the other end does not leave a message: they call the next name on the list.

This is not poor organisation. It is structural: the moment your customer is looking is exactly the moment you are working. And a good share of enquiries arrive in the evening, when you are closed.

What a calendar on your own site does

It takes the booking when you cannot: at 11 pm, on a Sunday, mid-appointment.

  • Your real slots, your hours, your closing days
  • Instant confirmation by SMS or email
  • A reminder before the appointment, which cuts no-shows
  • Two people can never take the same slot, not even in the same second
  • Your services with duration and price, editable by you

The money you save

There are two savings, and they show up in different places.

The first is immediate: booking platforms charge a monthly subscription and take a cut of every booking. On your own site, a booking costs nothing beyond the tool itself: €15/month, however many appointments come in. A hundred bookings cost the same as ten.

The second matters more: on a platform, the customer belongs to the platform. Their email, their history, their loyalty sit in a database that is not yours. The day you leave, you leave alone. On your own site, the customer list is yours.

The time you save

Every booking taken online is a call you do not answer, a note you do not write, a slot you do not copy across. It is not dramatic one by one — it adds up. And crucially, those minutes are taken while you are working, which is the worst possible moment.

We will not promise you a number of hours saved: it depends on your volume, and we have not measured it at your place. Run the numbers yourself — yours are the only ones that count.

What to check before choosing

  1. Does the booking belong to you? If the customer sits in someone else’s database, you are renting your own client base.
  2. Does the price scale with volume? A percentage per booking punishes your growth.
  3. Can you change your hours yourself? If not, every holiday becomes a support request.

The calendar is one of the tools that turn a website into a booking machine, alongside automated quotes, visitor tracking and the content editor. €15/month, cancel whenever you like.
