Google page 1 in 2 months: a real restaurant case, numbers included

A Piraeus restaurant with no website at all, launched 11 May 2026: 6,071 Google impressions, average position 4.2, and 'best souvlaki in Piraeus' at position 1 — Search Console data from 5 July 2026, plus the full method.

Everyone promises “Google page 1”. Almost nobody shows their numbers. Here is a real, verifiable case with raw Google Search Console data — checked on 5 July 2026.

The starting point

Kalamaki Trouba, a souvlaki restaurant in Piraeus (Greece). Before May 2026: no website, no Google presence beyond its listing. Site launched: 11 May 2026.

The results, 8 weeks later (Search Console, 5 July 2026)

  • 6,071 Google impressions in 8 weeks — the site didn’t exist before 11 May (Search Console’s 90-day window, but everything happened since launch).
  • Average position: 4.2 on Google.gr — page one.
  • Its own name: position 1.5.
  • And the generic searches — typed by customers who don’t know the place yet:
    • “Best souvlaki in Piraeus”: page 1 — position 1 on the exact variant, 3.7 on the most-typed one (145 impressions)
    • “Souvlaki Piraeus”: page 1 — position 1.5 to 2.6 depending on the variant
    • “Souvlaki near me”: page 1 — position 2.6 to 3.4
    • “Souvlaki Piraeus open now”: position 2.8

A restaurant that shows up the moment someone nearby is hungry — that’s local SEO that actually pays.

  2. Clean local SEO from day one: crafted titles and descriptions, restaurant structured data (JSON-LD), sitemap submitted to Search Console.
  3. A menu in 12 languages — Piraeus is a tourist port: every visitor reads the menu in their language, and Google sees it.
  4. An optimised Google Business profile linked to the site.
  5. Zero ads, zero bought backlinks. Just technical work and real content.
