Changing a price on your website without asking permission

Waiting three days and paying a quarter of an hour of labour to fix a price is daily life for many businesses. What a content editor changes, and what it really costs.

The dependency that costs you

You change a price. You add a dish. You want to remove a photo of a finished job. With many providers that means: send an email, wait, chase, and get billed by the quarter hour.

The direct cost is annoying. The indirect cost is far worse: eventually you stop changing anything. The menu still shows last year’s prices. The photos date from the opening. The site ages quietly, and nobody fixes it because every fix is a procedure.

What the editor does

You log into your own site and change things directly:

  • Your text and headings
  • Your photos, automatically compressed so the site stays fast
  • Your prices, your menu, your services
  • Your hours, closures and news

No technical skill, no phone call to us, no waiting. What you publish is live immediately.

The money

Work out what a small change costs you today, and multiply it by the number of times a year you would like to make one. For a restaurant adjusting its menu each season, or a building firm showing its latest work, you pass the cost of the tool quickly.

The editor costs €250 to set up, then €19/month. It is the only tool with an upfront cost, because every editable zone of your site has to be prepared so it can be changed without breaking anything.

The time

The real gain is not in the minutes of the edit itself. It is in the delay that disappears: a wrong price gets fixed the moment you spot it, not three days later. A promotion can start on a Friday evening. A photo of finished work goes up the same day, while it is still fresh.

The side effect, on Google

A site that moves is a site Google comes back to. A site frozen for eighteen months sends the opposite signal. That is not a ranking guarantee — none exists — but a site updated by its owner mechanically has more recent content than one nobody dares touch.

The editor is one of the tools that make a website self-sufficient, with the booking calendar, automated quotes and visitor tracking.

A plan to help you get started

Have you just started your business or a small company? Tell me about your project. We can discuss a suitable plan for your website, online visibility and the tools you need.

This is a paid service covered by a contract. We agree the price, services, any payment arrangements and payment dates before work starts.

You can also choose a plan available to pay for online. Once payment is confirmed and the contract accepted, I start work. The contract sets out the steps and delivery schedule.
